Be Aware, they don't like you to transfer your domain away from them!
With delayed responses and negative comments for your new provider, they try by all means to stop you from transferring away from them.

| I have had nothing but good support from afmu, and I host about a dozen sites with them. these people who whine about having issues probaly just dont know what they are doing. ie the proper way to submit a domain transfer. |

| Recently had problems with their site. Contacted with domain transfer to a new more reliable host, and would not let us transfer our domain to our new host. Then they try billing us for service when service was believed to be canceled. Horrible customer service. Not impressed. |

| Worst ever. after a year they sold my domain to a third party. A year later they tried to charge me for another year. When I complained they disdainfully replied that they automatically renew unless canceled so there is no interuption in service. And that they don't sell domains to third parties. I complained and they eventually agree that that is exactly what happened. Now another year has gone by and they are trying to charge me. Again they deny their tactics. Assholes. Do not use under any circumstances. |

| No phone support... Can take a long time to get an email response from tech support, and initial response often doesn't resolve the issue. They were my first hosting company, but I now appreciate the importance of free phone support. |

mine is even worse. i renewed my account around jan for another year. found out they cancelled my account july. somebody was able to register my domain even before that around april.
i complained and they seem to just shrug it off and say they 'can cancel any account, at any time for any reason'.
i can not think of any reason why they would do that except that they were just negligent and screwed up my domain and account.
if it sounds too good to be true,it usually is. be warned. |

They made an agreement with me and blatantly broke it. They advertise powerful servers but complain if you run anything more than simple html.
They have no communication apparently between their sales guys and their techs, with terrible communication between myself and them. Initially it took 3 days to answer a reply, to give me permission to run a complex script only to suspend my account the same day for the same script they gave me permission to run.
Ive seen better service from a lot of free hosts.... |

| $0 hosting package is the best bang for your buck anywhere!! Includes PHP, MySQL, 25 email accounts, and a great control panel with MANY features that allow you to manage most of the finer details for your site. Uptime and transfer speed of the service has never disappointed me yet. Tech support staff is definitely second to none. They are friendly, respond quick, and take the initiative to solve all of my issues. I'd say that this basic service can even accommodate for sites with fairly robust needs. Try their services! You won't regret it! |

I have been with Afmu for over a year now and have no plans to leave.
I have never had any trouble or negative experiences with their service and tech support has been great. Any time I have had a problem they have not only been quick to give me help but have actually helped me through the problems, while remaining polite & patient even when it took some time to talk me through it.
I was most impressed when they gave me extra bandwidth to get me through the month after I (stupidly) had an entire months bandwidth sucked dry from using radioblog. It was entirely my fault, but after explaining to them what happened I was surprised the very next morning to find they had given me extra of bandwidth to keep my site up through the month, no charge. |

| I can't receive emails because my mailbox is "full," however there are only four messages inside. This is the second time this exact problem has happened. I cannot rely on the email address that they host. I hadn't had any problems with them before these, but now I have no confidence in them. |

| AFMU delivers what it promises. I ordered a domain from them and it was active within a few hours. That's fast, compared to others I've tried. Their cpanel is impressive, even for the free account. I had some questions in setting up my site, and their tech support responded within minutes -- with answers that were helpful and with patience and courtesy. They have my highest recommendation. |

I've been with them for about two years and haven't had ANY problems what-so-ever. I have emailed them maybe once or twice about simple issues and received a response within twenty-four hours.
