We are so worn out from dealing with this company. Our site was down possibly for weeks. Most of the time the main pages were viewable but the pages customers need to actually do business with us, we discovered, have not been functioning due to a server error. CWI takes hours, if not days, to respond to emergency tickets. When you call their main/support number, the recording says you must have a support "extension" to speak to a real person. The sales people say you're out of luck getting a call back if your package doesn't include call back service, regardless of the situation. When it does respond, they say there's no problem and that everything is working with our site, despite our specific instructions on how to duplicate the error. Finally, *we* discovered *their* specific error and still no response or resolution. Little response, practically no updates and neglecting then actually closing the ticket!
We had been with them for several years. The first few were ok. The last was the worst, our site being down for a total of a few months out of the year. Sometimes the answer was "we're doing maintenance". Sometimes the site would magically go back up - after we submitted a ticket - and *then* they'd claim there's nothing wrong with their servers or our site. With each ticket that last year we would tell them to initiate an uptime guarantee claim. Every time it was ignored. If they say there's nothing wrong, why would they consider it downtime? They may no longer offer an uptime guarantee (couldn't find any info about it on their site recently, which sends the message that they don't stand behind their service), it was part of the offer we accepted so they should've honored it for us. All pretty suspect behavior.
Update: CWI deleted the original support ticket (the one with most of the history on our last case) about a day after we submitted a complaint with BBB...interesting timing.
By the way, their Chief Technical Officer (Jason Taylor) is the same guy who keeps claiming "there's no problem".
If you prefer competence and ethical practices, stay far, far away from CWI.

This is the worst customer service I have ever received in any industry. I have been trying to update my CC info for 5 days now while my server is down. There is no customer service to contaqct and they do not contact you within 24 hours as they state. I've been locked out of my server and email for 5 days and counting. As soon as I can get all of my info off of the server I will be cancelling my account and reporting them to the Better Business Bureau. Buyer beware!

CWI Hosting-- Iíve had a dedicated Linux server with CWI since November of 2007. The system becomes unresponsive too frequently so I spoke to the support department but they responded that the problem had to do with the fact that I was using Tomcat as my Servlet container and suggested I move to Resin. I moved to Resin and the same thing happened again. On one occasion the system was down for about 6 hours so I contacted the CEO of the company to alert him of what was happening hoping he would help. Instead of being helpful and he responded with a very despotic email redeeming himself and the company of any wrongdoing. Avoid this company especially when it comes to dedicate server service.

They need to stop spending time on toys and starting concentrating time on service. I used to work there and there are only 5 people, with one dude managing collocated servers. Ceo ( marcus ) hes never there. Jaso ( cto) is an *ahole. I quit working there.

I canceled well within the 30 day trial period. I contacted them several times about crediting back my annual subscription fee. A month later, they still haven't. I had to contest the charges with my Visa company. Don't do business with CWIhosting.

Bad, bad, bad.

Don't even think of using this.

They will disconnect your site without warning, then remind you that it is their standard company policy. (They make you sign that sort of contract.)

We have never had more issues than we have had with this hosting company. Ever since, we switched to CWI hosting we have had tons of email issues and hours of our site being down. I had to email the CEO before they would switch our email services over to another server. After that, we have had months of issues with our site being down. Excuses is all I have received without any resolution or explanation of what they are doing to remedy the issue. We are switching over to a new webhost as soon as we possibly can.
