I've been a Dathorn customer twice. I was a customer from 2003-2006, when I moved to a host that promised more of everything but was unable to deliver to the point of being unusable.
I switched back in 2007 and have been happy ever since, and know that I've got it good here. As other post say, the response on trouble tickets is second to none, you usually have a response and a fix in less time than it takes to make a sandwich.
Some folks might think that they are expensive for the amount of space/bandwidth you get, and it is true you can find more for cheaper elsewhere but you will not find the same quality of service (server speeds, bandwidth, customer support) anywhere that I have tried, even among the big name hosts. They don't oversell their services like the majority of hosts, which is why they have such a reverent fanbase.
If you are running a moderate sized website that needs stability more than anything else, you could not find a better webhost.

| I have been with many shared host over the years .i.e. Dreamhost, Godaddy,1and1, cphosting, yahoo, hostgator to name a few. All I can say is Dathorn is truly the best bang for your buck. Uptime and reliability are why I continue to use them. I have moved all of my mission critical business domains/clients over to Dathorn. Andrew is a great sysadmin! he knows how to admin a box. Another point I would like to include. Dathorn uses zoneedit on my box w/ 4 name servers for my shared server. He has taken steps to ensure his network stays hot. I agree, Dathorn is not for the novice webmasters. Andrew is all business. No BS! Beware of a hosting company who sells/manages 50-500 servers. Most of those servers get neglected for security patches/issues. However, when your with a company who manages 10-20 servers you get much better service from your shared host. Just my 2 Cents. :) |

| I have been with Dathorn for over about 18 months, and can't recall a single incident where Andrew and staff didn't respond to and resolve my support requests effectively! - Considering the cost of my account with them, I receive clearly an enormous "bang for the buck", as issues do arrise, and typically Andrew and staff resolve the issues not only quickly, but they often take the time to explain to me what the issue is or was. I can only recommend DATHORN, no reservations! |

I love dathorn. I've found that AndrewT and company are VERY quick to respond to trouble tickets.
Though their home page usually says their ticket response time is 20 minutes or so, I've had several tickets replied to in less than 2 minutes and resolutions to problems VERY quickly.
Furthermore I find that their staff has vast knowledge of linux, cpanel and php to point me in the right direction when I have issues. |
