I have domain registration service and name server service from Mega Clutch for two domains. One for 2.5 years one for 1.5

years. I was referred to Mega Clutch by thesitewizard dot com. Here is what I like about Mega Clutch in order of relevance

and importance to me:

1) They allow you the option to frame your entire site with your domain name in the address bar. This is important to me for

TWO reasons:

i) I can have multiple websites at one domain target location using subdirectories, and the unsophisticated user is un-aware

of that.
ii) The frame has a side benefit of making it difficult to steal HTML source code just by using "View Source".

2) The Mega Clutch domain forwarding works with specific ports. This is pretty handy. For example, my ISP blocks port 80

inbound. I wanted to host a website, so I did it on port 82 instead. Mega Clutch domain forwarding supported that. Very

cool. And with the frame, the address bar reads like a legit website, with a path that is easy to remember, because it is

simply the domain path.

3) e-mail forwarding: You get 100 email addresses associated with your website forwarded to DISTINCT DESTINATIONS. Also you

can have wild card e-mail addresses so if you are running multiple businesses, mail then each set of services can be directed

to the correct clearing server. This is included for no extra charge and they don't append tacky advertising to the

forwarded e-mails, like some other unnamed (who's your daddy?) big hype domain services do.

4) Dynamic DNS. Does your ISP continually hose up your web hosting by changing your IP address? No worries, for free Mega

Clutch allows dynamic DNS updates from your web server to their DNS servers, which incidentally are on diesel generators, in

secret underground caverns (next to the government marijuana) and are distributed throughout the US. At least one name

server is up at all times.

5) Master of your domain: Mega clutch gives you full control over your domain. You can name anyone you like as your

administrative, technical, and registrant contact. They recommend you name them as the technical contact, so if there are

problems they can fix them before you even know about it, but the decision is up to you. My first domain I let them be the

tech, my second one I was the tech, but yesterday I changed it back to them. In fact I made four changes total yesterday and

they were instantly visible on whois. This is an important point. Some domain registrants just "lease" you the domain name

but retain the title to it or make it difficult to move domains to another provider. (Not to name any names, but try looking

at godaddy on epinions dot com). Also, Yahoo domains do not permit you to change the name of the owner of the domain once

oyu register. This is REALLY annoying. Megaclutch does. Ever since, I have been master of my domain. :>)

6) Meta Data: Allows you to shape search spiders to increase your page rank. If you don't know why this is important,

perhaps you have stumbled on this page by accident. Better just turn on MTV and have another hot dog.

7) Sub domains. Not so important to me, but is to some people. I think you can have up to 100 sub domains free, per domain.

8) My-Map and My-phone are supported and free too.

I notice that another reviewer was complaining about being held hostage. OK bubba, here is how it works, now pay attention

reel good y'all.

1) You register your domain, and exchange recognition tokens with your domain registrant (e.g. Mega Clutch). You do this so

that they can make sure it is you next time you contact them.

2) Your domain registrar (if they are the least bit competent) then registers your domain in your name and LOCKS it. Why do

they lock it? Well why do you lock your door when you go to work? Right, so nobody will take your TV and hotdogs. Same

idea here.

3) You decide to change domain registrars.

4) You contact your registrar, identifying yourself using your secret password, and ask for them to UNLOCK your domain to

ready it for transfer.

5) Oh-Oh, you forgot your password? Well no-worries dude, Mega clutch has an automated password recovery service.
