Webhostingbuzz Sucks! Their support is full of crap, nothing but lies! If more than two people browse to your website they block your IP. Website is down everyday! Had aresellers account with them and they stated contacting my customers. Switched to hostgator a couple of months ago and not one problem. When I contacted support with a few question they were answered quickly and correctly, unlike the lying assholes at Webhostingbuzz! You have been warned WHB SUCKS!

I use WHB for already a year, and can say I have not had any major troubles, which would make me switch to anywhere.
I use one of the budget plans and site is up about 24/7/360 - the cumulative downtime may shorten the year by maybe five days. Certainly It never happens at once - longest inaccessibility lasted for about 1,5-2 hrs.
The support is good. About 90-92% of my letters;) were answered with a pretension for professionalism. For unanswered tuckets there exists a phone support.

I still cannot tell you anything about overselling, I use certain partition of 400GB, and having about 1 I have no problems with "resource overusage".
Good hosting. Better than many others.

I was with them mainly because I was solving most of my own problems most of the time, but whenever I needed support, it would take weeks before my problem was solved. I would give them 0 for customer support if I could. My server was down at least once a week for about 2-3 hours per week. The services are weak, and did I mention the customer support stunk?

After 14 months I am moving on. They also DO not offer unconditional 30 day money back in most cases.

There are many other web hosting companies out there that offer more for a comparable price.

Strongly advice going elsewhere. Just not worth it.

Been with them for going on 3 years, I've a few problems with the site over that time, but EVERY SINGLE ticket I have ever open has been handled very fast, and very professionally. No company could ever have zero problems, so support is very important, and WHB handles that great.

I can not login to my WHM Panel, but after disable Broadband Speed Test addon for Firefox then I can login. WHB security standard very high and this needed for seriously reseller.

Only need 1 hour (after my payment received by 2co) my account is active. I wonder how fast WHB create my reseller account. And next another 1 hour my private NS ready to go plus WHMAP license. Fantastic!

Response time very good, the server very stable, so I don't know why some people say that WHB is bad, I think maybe: they have poor computer knowledge for a reseller or they have bad internet connection (I use ADSL here) or maybe they don't read WHB Knowledge Base. Some people always asking but not read the KB yet.

Again, please read all welcome email from WHB and KB before you ask for help! The welcome email contain VERY important information about your personal login.

For dedicated hosting: I think you can not find a better dedicated hosing service in the market. I strongly recommend webhostingbuzz, If you are looking for a dedicated server. Both in terms of performance and prices.

For shared hosting: Technical support is good and prices are low. But shared hosting has limits. If you are aware of this fact, you will be happy. But if you have high expectations from shared hosting, you will get disappointed. Just like like you will be in any other hosting company.

I both used shared hosting and dedicated hosting in WHB. I strongly recommend it.

The packages offered by Webhostingbuzz looked pretty good, so I decided to take a reseller package. That turned out to be a mistake.

The registration went ok, the welcome email contained errors in the urls for whm and cpanel, but these were easily corrected. After creating a few subaccounts, the sites were all very slow. And in whm I could see that the machine load was huge, and this was an 8 core/8GB machine so what was going on? They said all was fine and ignored my error reports. From time to time I got time outs, connection refused and even internal server errors! I'm not talking about very small php/mysql test sites that did almost nothing.

After submitting tickets and posting in their forums, all I got was the suggestion to upgrade to a virtual private server. They said the reason my sites were slow is because I was on a shared machine(!) Yes, that's why we call it reseller/shared hosting. Obviously Webhostingbuzz thinks that's a good reason for the unacceptable bad performance.

I waited two months, having nothing but time outs, slow sites, internal server errors, connection refused and submitting many tickets and forum posts but nothing was done about it. Webhostingbuzz was accepting the situation as it was. In the forums, there were several other resellers complaining as well with the same kind of errors as I had.

I left Webhostingbuzz and turned to Hostgator.com And what a difference! Those Hostgator people really eat the competition, 5 out of 5 for Hostgator. It's just that they don't offer the very small packages, but calculated per GB it's almost the same. Hostgator is the real reseller company for you.

Never use cheating service again if you were in my situation, I paid for 2 years hosting, they keep suspending me several times for no reason by telling me that it was overloaded, I disappointed and lost all contacts with my readers.

Now after 11 months they ask me to upgrade to $35/month if I do not pay that they would keep hostage of my website that I cannot access, if I go somewhere they ask me to pay $25 for back up!!!
I complained to the top management but went nowhere, their response is less than polite making my blood pressure skyrocket!
This is the worst thing I could regret in life by using such a scrap hosting! Now I have to re-build from beginning. My advice is if you do not want to be in this unexpectation, prepare to move to one of those services I just found on the web by google for best hosting services, they are also reasonably priced but reliable and more honest:

This company offers a cheap and mostly reliable service. However, I've just encountered one of their ugly sides. I asked a friend to upload a few GB of software to my FTP hosted on their servers. A while later I get an email from them stating that my account is suspended(!!) for violation of their AUP(?). Anyway - I accept their complaint - but who on earth suspends an account without a warning??!!

I have received an account for a bill that was paid a month ago. I have been unable to login for support despite repeated attempts. I have been given a phone number to ring that is not connected. I have been with these guys for a while now. They were recommended to me by a friend and I can certainly say I would recommend them myself. I have had minimal downtime and quick responses whenever I contacted customer support. I feel the need to address the inbalance here because I think it's more common to write a negative review than a positive one as a bad experience encourages people to write in, but if things are running smoothly there's less incentive to do so. Anyway, I think these guys are great and I'm sure a lot of other people who haven't written here do too.

I reported the problem more than three hours ago and the status of my ticket is still, "Awaiting staff response" even though the problem was reported as "Urgent." The lack of phone support and complete disregard for their supposed online support are inexcusable. I certainly will NOT renew my contract again this year.

I have this webhosting for 1 year, but like 8 months i didn't do anythig on it.
When I've started to build I site here are the problems:
1. for 2 weeks site down at leest 2,3 times a day
First they told mee that they have told me:
"We recently experienced some server overload issues, causing a slowdown. The source of this problem has been located and addressed. Server performance should now be back to normal."
OK I've told them.
After one week the problem was still there
They have told me:

"We unreservedly apologize for the service outage that you experienced. This is unlike us, we'd some hardware issue with server described on our forum"
What happend?
... ???

2. The problem that made my write this review.

I have a hosting of 200 GB and this morning (02.04.2008) when I've open my CP surprise

"Sorry for the inconvenience!
The filesystem mounted at /home/mysite on this server is running out of disk space. cPanel operations have been temporarily suspended to prevent something bad from happening. Please ask your system admin to remove any files not in use on that partition."

no worning nothig befor this happend!!!

i think "maybe my database (200 MB)" but how can I have access to my Databse if I don't have access t my control Panel

Great hosting company. They offer up to 20 free domain names with tons of space and bandwidth for just few dollars a month. I have been with them over 10 months now. So far I have had 100% uptime on my server. I am very happy and wish them the best of luck.. :)

The majority of WebHostingBuzz reviews are positive. The negative ones are from competitors, or customers who broke the terms and conditions and had their accounts suspended.

When my site works it's great. But heaven forbid that you need support from them. They answer support requests quickly, but their support staff are morons (and that's being nice).

I have had many bad "support" encounters, but my latest one blows me away. My control panel has been down now for a couple days. I opened a support ticket saying my control panel was down. Their response was "be more specific." So I told them that it is down, meaning that it is unreachable, when I type in the control panel address the connection times out and nothing is shown in my browser. Their response? Be more specific and give us your username and password. Come on! I can't get more specific and you sure don't need my password for that problem.

I am switching hosts. I've had enough.

Why so many people posting negative reviews on WHB? Have you ever think about this?

If WHB is good, i'm sure won't have any of their customer will wasting the time on browsing around just to look for hosting review's website to write negative reviews.

I 'used' their service for 2 months, if that's consider using.

my 1st month - mostly wasted on their dns setting. which they also admit it's their mistake.

my 2nd month(now) - having problem with emails and still waiting for them to be help. It's already 2-3 weeks, but the problem still haven't solve. THEY EVEN IGNORED, DELETED AND CLOSED MY TICKET WHEN I'M WAITING FOR THEIR HELP.

Actually I read a lot of bad reviews about them but i still risk myself in using their service, because I really thought those problems will not happen on me. BUT I'M WRONG!!!

To be frank, I'm really regret for ignored all the people who wrote reviews on them. I was just blinded by their cheap price.

I totally won't recommend this to anyone. Unless you got time and money to waste.

additionally, they also provide a lot of wrong informatiion.

wow...that's a lot of bad reviews there. o.O i guess people tend to write reviews when they have bad experiences.

I've been with webhostingbuzz for 1 year. Never had any problems and the support staff are lightning fast. I loooove the sudden upgrade to cpanel 11 too! What a pleasant surprise. I haven't seen any noticeable downtimes either. Hurray for Alpha server.

I am going through hosting hell right now with WHB. Support suspended my account for resource abuse. I upgraded to semi-dedicated and after 15 hours the site is still unavailable. Support only answers tickets intermittently and with cryptic one-liners.

I bought the monthly special on 08-05-07 and was deceived by sleazy business practices. It says 5 free domains so I thought wow awesome.

Thats when I found out that you had to upgrade to the one year plan for $110 more and then you get the extra year free.

So whatever on 08-20-07 I upgraded and paid the extra $110 and now I have registered a couple of domains. It is now 09-09-07 and yesterday I asked for a refund. Right out they said no because it has been over the 30 day money back guarantee. Which it hasn't seeing as how I paid the $110 on the 20th. It has only been about 18 or 19 days. And even if they did count it from the 5th that is a month and 3 days...

Their support is horrible and email and cpanel are extremely slow.

I am very angry at them and I regret ever opening an account with them and referring them to a few of my friends. They draw you in with tricky business tactics then "play nice" the first couple of weeks, but it all goes downhill.

Webhostingbuzz is great at responding to my tickets... too bad all the tickets are because their system is down. Initially I had a great experience but for the past several weeks and really, a few months now, their service has been out for brief periods at least once a week and sometimes more. Each time I submit a ticket they mark it resolved but a few days later, outage again. I'm moving on.

WHB SUCK, big time, been with them for 2 months, nothing has worked, load times are terrible, and today sites have just vanished, no support at all, I get this wonderful error where the site should be

Internal Error, can't find that folder :/home/ampmhold

I was pushed into paying annually, refused, (thankfully) - and since, everything has got worse and worse. I aldo paid this months invoice, and continued to get emails saying, invoice overdue, act now!!

I will advise all the developers I know to avoid them like hte plague,

This company completely sucks. Don't buy it. I was with this company for 2 years, but it decided to crap out on us and it charged on an expired credit card. A month later, they FINALLY found out, and the company that managed billing for them did a charge back and we lost our hosting. We sent support tickets to both WebHostingBuzz and 2CO, and they took FOR FREAKING EVER to respond. The response seemed like it was answered by some extremely retarded kid, too. I don't believe they even have a way to change credit card numbers so the card they're using isn't an expired one. They don't even take Paypal. What a shame. The company might seem good at first, but trust me, when something horrible comes up and you need really good support, you ain't getting it. It took 2 DAYS for them to answer a really simple yes or no question. These guys truly suck.

Very slow on ticket support, unprofessional customer support staff, the new online live support staff even leave me alone for an hour during the chat session and then hung me up without say a reason, email system is terrible, bandwidth is bad, connection is slow...
Even the price is low, but the service is cheap, not worth the money at all!

I have been a mimimal use customer for 4 or 5 years. In the last two I have never seen an email system run this slowly. I was completely blocked for several weeks once and could not get a reason why. When I ask what I can do to get better service I get no meaningful reply. They are great for "The problem has been resolved" even when it has not.

I will not recommend you to host with WebHostingBuzz. Ever since I hosted multiple domains, whenever my account is being suspended for some stupid reasons (Refer Below), all the .com domains that have hosted here are all suspended as well. What do you will happen to your business if you were to host all your clients on this web host? Lose of clients? Definitely! Lesson learnt, not to put all the domains in one single account.

One of the reasons they gave was because "Resource Abuse", does that means using up way too much traffic that had to be shared with other clients on the same server? They boast so much about giving high traffic bandwidth and so on. I can't afford an Ultimate Plan you see.

Here's their reply: "It is high time the account is upgraded to Ultimate Hosting Plan or Managed Dedicated Hosting. Your account is now on a shared server, the services and resources should be made available for all the accounts in the server. Therefore, we cannot run the server under a sub-optimal level."

I've been suspended for umpteen times already, due to some cocked up reasons they came up with saying some of my scripts were the cause. As a results, clients or users who often came to my site turned to alternatives. Business is at a loss.

WHB's shared hosting might be inexpensive, but by no means are they "cheap". When I say "cheap" I mean skimping on features, which they are NOT skimping. The only thing different between the least expensive plan and the most expensive plan I looked at was space and bandwidth (I could have easily afforded the most expensive plan, but I just didn't need that much space). The features are the same across the board. And they are feature packed!! The only thing that kinda scared me off at first was that they don’t' register your domain for you, but a quick trip to godaddy and I was all set to go. My site was up and ready for uploading literally less than an hour after payment, I have the emails to prove it. My payment confirmation came at 10:39AM and the email from WHB telling me my site was ready for use at 11:27AM. I did a lot of research before I spent my hard earned money, and I honestly believe I got my money's worth. Thanks WebHostingBuzz!!!

They advertise 24/7 customer support, but that is how often you can go to their support form...they tell you upfront it may take 72 hrs for a response

If you need a reliable host with reasonable uptime this is not the host for you. They actually explicitly state in their terms that they give absolutely no guarentee of uptime and hold no reponsibility for down time.

I myself have been down for 2 days now and their response to me it must be server load which is nothing they can do anything about (not my usage of the server as that is minimal) and my server has been up for 44 days...but my hosting has been DOWN for 2 days...unreachable by dns address or ip, ping or ftp, even the email server times out.

Totally worthless hosting if you actually need to have a site online

I have been with them for two years now and when the service works, everything is fine. However, their web services are down again today--for the third time in three days. I reported the problem more than three hours ago and the status of my ticket is still, "Awaiting staff response" even though the problem was reported as "Urgent." The lack of phone support and complete disregard for their supposed online support are inexcusable. I certainly will NOT renew my contract again this year.

I have 2 shared hosting packages with them
the service works most of the time.
but every few weeks there's hours of unexplained downtime.
there's no one to talk to. their troubletickets get answered hours or days later.
if something goes bad with the shared host at night (eastern time) you are f***d

they have few people there that understand anything about sysadmin so they may irresponsibly upgrade the system and suddenly phpnuke or oscommerce stops working

I have been a customer for several months. I continue to have poor service, email server times out all the time and hangs, their IMAP server does not support subfolders. They are slow to respond to tech support requests, have NO phone support at all, and in general are hard to work with. For example, you have to go to one site to check for posted news on server status, and a different site to post and receive support assistance. I'm leaving.
