On a good day, the service is good & quick. Sometimes, like another reviewer said, they seem to be giving too much attention to non-paying customers & not enough for paying. Their website is poor and filled with broken links. The speed is good for http & ssh (if they give you access). Had 5-10 hrs of downtime this morning for unknown reason, which was the first time this happened in five months but came at a crucial time for one of my clients. Their site navigation & support is enough to make me look around for other services. Also, I've been using Ruby on Rails, which they seem to host well, but are struggling to get seamless support for developers.
Overall, you might give them a try for a month and see what you think, but I think they could do a lot to improve ('fix' might be a more appropriate word) their 'cPanel' (a collection of web-based and other automated functions), as well as their support. I've found it easier to use the command line to do most things.
Like many hosts, I think they have too many developers and not enough operations staff to deal with customer issues. |

Excellent Webhost, been hosting my Ruby on Rails website with them for over 5 months, no downtime to report, very fast support, always willing to install or upgrade things on their server to support every client.

| The XMGHosting support, I sadly found out, is nonexistant. You would be better off going with their Free Hosting plans (XMGFree.com), where support queries are usually answered within a few hours. |
